Richard Frampton
“I have had a keen interest in painting and drawing since childhood. When time permitted during my busy and sometimes stressful working life, I found much enjoyment and relaxation in experimenting with a variety of paints, techniques and
sizes to create my artwork. I find acrylic paint suits me best as my aim is to bring my work to life using mainly dry
layers and adding the fine detail. My inspiration comes from the world around me both natural and manmade; flower arrangements, town, country and coastal scenes.
In recent years my work has led to a number of commissions. Now retired to Somerset, I can spend more time on what has become a passion; creating small and miniature paintings on a variety of subjects which I frame with recycled wood, when possible, and display on individual hand-made easels.”
