Joanne bennett

My name is Joanne Bennett and I'm a silver jewellery designer from Swindon.  I work in recycled sterling silver, using heat and texture to create unusual jewellery with a rustic and organic feel.

I've always loved the texture and shapes that can be found in nature which is why I use them to inspire my designs. A lot of my work is created by melting pieces of silver together giving it an organic, rustic and raw feel.

I try to make each piece different in some way so that customers know they have a piece of jewellery that's different and one of a kind.  Which is why I use various tools, reticulation and oxidisation to give my work texture, and to make each piece different. The fact that each piece is individual is what draws customers to my work.
